About Temple

Kota city, situated on the bank of chambal river is a well known industrial town emerging as education city of Rajasthan province (India), lying between Delhi-Mumbai route of Western Railway, about 550 Km from Delhi.

The nature has decorated the city with a vast green cover and a beautiful hilly landscape with many lakes. Besides agriculture and  industries Kota is also famous for flooring stones (Kota stone, Sand Stone), Kota Saries and Coaching Institutes for engineering and medical entrance examinations (ALLEN Career Institute, Bansal Classes Pvt Ltd., Resonance, Career Point, Vibrant Academy, Rao IIT Academy, etc). Many temples, Ashrams and religious Societies, vibrant with the discourses of a large number of saints, Bhajan Sandhyas and religious ceremonies makes it a spiritually awakened city.

Radhakrishna Mandir Talwandi, is a famous religious and cultural centre of Kota. It is situated in a thickly populated colony named Talwandi, about 12 Km from Kota Railway Station. Since its inception millions of people have visited this temple, and have enjoyed the peace, serenity along with its beauty. Many Saints, Swamis and Hindu leaders have admired the beauty of the temple and its management.

The Pranpratistha (inauguration) of the temple was done on 28.4.1993. On this day, besides the idols of Shri Radha Krishna, other idols of Dieties, Shri Ganesha, Ma Durga, Ram Darbar and Shri Hanuman Ji was also established with Vedic rites and a religious mass ceremony with great splendour and joy. The idols of  Shri Radha Krishna was gifted by Shri Kewal Krishna Kapoor family. Other idols were gifted to the temple by Shri Mulkraj Talwar, Mrs. Ginni Bai Sarraf (Mumbai) Devidutt Ram Vallabh Sarraf Trust and Shri Sukhdev Ahluwalia, respectively.

From the beginning in 1993,  the temple has progressed rapidly due to the generosity of many devotees, who felt the divine charisma of this temple and contributed wholeheartedly in terms of time and money. The tireless hard work of the Founder President Late Shri Sitaram ji Goyal and his inspiring personalty is memorable in the phenomenal development of  the temple.

On 15.3.1994, a religious library was inaugurated by the famous saint Asharam Ji Maharaj in a separate hall built with the courtesy of Dalmia family (Mumbai). On 23.4.1994, Ni. Jagatguru Swami Satyamitra Nand ji (Founder of the famous Bharat Mata Mandir of Haridwar) laid the foundation of the Sabha Bhawan in front of the temple. The dome (gumbaj) of the temple was built in 1995 and the Swarna Kalash at the top was established by Late Shri Durga Lal  ji and Smt. Rameshwari Devi Agrawal (Bajrang Tent House) on 28.4.1996. Sant Niwas (Guest house for saints), with eleven rooms was built with the aid of Sirdar Manjit Singh Parivar, Shri Govind Maheshwari ji Parivar (Allen Career Institute) and also by Smt. Kamlesh Khandelwal, in the memory of her husband, Late Shri Dev Karan ji Khandelwal.

In 1997, the Shiva temple (Dwadash Jyotirlinga) was built adjoining the main temple, by Devi Dutt Ram Vallabh Sarraf trust. The Pran Pratistha of Shiva Linga and Shiva Parivar(Statues of Maa Parvati, Shri Ganesh ji, Shri Kartikeya ji and Nandi ji) was done on 26.1.1998 with Vedic Mantra and a mass religious ceremony with great splendour and joy. The statues of Shiva-Parvati was established in a separate mandap inside the temple by Sumit Chadda Parivar.

In 1999, the magnificient Singh Dwar (Main entrance gate) was built by Surajmal ji khandelwal of Morpa village, Sultanpur of Kota district. On 21.4.2000 the Chauth Mata Mandir, adjacent to the Shiva Temple was built by Smt. Draupadi Meena in memory of her husband Late Shri Gulab Singh Meena and also by Kanhayya Lal Khandelwal family.

In 2001, construction of Satsang Varanda was completed with the financial contribution of a number of lady devotees only.

The architectural design of the temple was made by Shri Bal Chand ji Poddar, a well known social worker and philanthropist of Kota. The dome (Gumbaj) of the temple was designed by shri Pradeep Agrawal, a civil engineer working in P.W.D. Govt. of Raj.

During 2009-10 the temple was renovated and interior decoration was designed under the guidance of famous interior decorator Mrs Reema Gupta (B. Arch), Lecturer in An Engineering College.  

The website of the temple (www.RadhaKrishnaMandir.com) was launched on 27th April 2010. Launch of the website was done by famous Bhajan Singer Didi Archana Bawri (Amritsar, Punjab). The website is desgined & created by Amit Gupta (B.E.), who is presently working in IT & Automation Department of a leading coaching institute of Kota.

The temple is full of social, religious and cultural activities throughout the year which is an ideal for other temples of Kota. Every Hindu festival is celebrated with grand religious ceremony namely Krishna Janmastami, Nandotsav, Radha Astami, Annakut Mahotsava, Sharad Purnima, Nav Ratra, Lohiri, Sankranti Parva, Fagotsava (Holi) Parva, Shiv Ratri, Ram Navmi, Hanuman Jayanti, Ganesh Chaturthi, Nirjala Ekadashi etc. Sunder Kand and Hanunan Chalisa is recited by a large number of devotees, every tuesday. During the month of Shravana, special Shringar of Lord Shiva is done daily, which is visited by a large number of devotees. Besides these festivals the Sthapana Divas (Inaugural Day) is celebrated every year, spanning three days, from 26th to 28,th April, comprising Bal Mela and Vishal Bhajan  Sandhya. Every year on 28th April Maha Aarti and Vishal Bhandara is organized, in which about ten thousand devotees participate and take Bhojan Prasad.

SHRI RADHA KRISHNA PARMARTHA CHIKITSALAYA

Nar seva is Narayan Seva (The service to humanity is service to God). Following this scriptural saying, in 1998 a Homeopathic Clinic was started which was soon followed by an allopathic Clinic. Seeing a good response from a large number of public, a separate building for hospital was built in 2005 and the medical services was further expanded to include all pathological tests of blood and urine, X-Ray, E.C.G., oxygen and Nebulizer facilities. Every month two asthama  check up (respirometry) camp and one Bone Density measurement camp are organized with modern computerized machines. All medicines are given free of cost to the patients. More than one lac patients have been benefitted by the medical services of the temple in last five years. A dental hospital has also been started on 1.1.2010,  with the modern equipments and by a well qualified and experienced doctor.
