Visit of SAINTS

Picture
Recently the devotees of Radhakrishna Temple were fortunate to sit in communion with four famous saints in the temple and listen to their discourses.

It  is said:
“Swarga  mratyu patal puri  teen  lok sukh nahin  I
Sukh prabhu bhajan mein aur santan ke mahin  II   (Saint Kabir)

(There is no real pleasure in this world or in the heavens. The real pleasures one can experience in communion with saints and while singing the glory of God.)
In Ramayan it is said  : “ In one scale of balance, put together the delights of all world and heavens, but they will be outweighed by a moment’s joy derived from communion with saints.

Company of saints brings joy and peace in life with a touch of Bhakti (devotion,-love and faith towards God), Jnan  (spiritual knowledge) and  doctrine of Karma (righteous actions).

DEVOTIONAL SONGS BY SHRI MURLIDHAR MALHOTRA

On 25.12.2010 Shri Murlidhar Malhotra Ji (Bau ji), founder of Radha Madhav Sankirtan Mandal presented a stream of highly enlightening and devotional songs at the temple between 9-12 am

Praising the glory of God:

“Whoever has ever attained any material prosperity, wisdom, glory, salvation or welfare anywhere and by any means whatsoever, know it to be the grace of the Lord””

“He is the bestower  of boons, the dispeller of agonies of the suppliant, an ocean of mercy and the delight of His devotees. May that merciful Lord be gracious to us, whose grace enables the dumb to make eloquent speeches and a cripple to ascend a mountain and who burns all the impurities and evils of the heart”.

His ways are supernatural in every respect. He sees everything without eyes, he hears without ears, HE walks without feet and performs various kinds of actions without hands. Nobody has been able to discover his beginning and end. His glory is beyond description.”

“O Lord, you are at once my father, mother, master, companion, Guru (preceptor) and everything else. My love, confidence and ties of affection are all centred in you. I do not wish from you glory and good fortune.  He, who is devoted to your feet in thought, word and deed-should he be abandoned by you-O! ocean of mercy”.

“Those who have no anger, pride, arrogance, infatuations, and who are free from greed attractions or aversions to worldly objects, and who are free from hypocrisy, fraud and deceit-in their heart God abides. His adoration is the only means of soothing the agony of one’s heart. He follows like a shadow-where there is unadulterated love.”

As the devotees listened the praises and glory of the Lord with voice choked with religious emotions, a thrill ran in the body, and eyes of many devotees   flowed with tears of love.

SANT KRISHNA CHANDRA MAHARAJ JI

On 2.2.2011, famous saint Krishna Chandra Maharaj Ji had a short visit to the temple. He had come to Kota for Sri mad Bhagwat  Katha Saptah. His narration of Srimad Bhagwat Katha during one week from 26th Jan to 2nd Feb 2011 was heard daily by over fifteen thousand devotees .

At the temple, he gave a short discourse to the devotees assembled at the temple to honour him.

He told that every should visit  a temple, at least twice a day. Devotees come to the temple for upasana, which means up (Near) +asana(sitting)  that is, sitting near God.. The Lord manifests Himself  in response to the love, faith and devotion, one cherishes in one’s heart. He is present everywhere always in all animate and inanimate creations, and is revealed only by love. Giving up all passions, anger, pride, greed, jealousy and all morbid feelings serve God in word,  thought and deed.

He also stressed to visit and listen to saints whenever there is opportunity to do so. Contact with the holy men is the root of all joys and blessings in life. Spiritual wisdom comes not without the   association with the saints and association with them is easily had with the grace of Lord.

He blessed all the devotees, especially the coaching students for a bright future. (See photographs below)

SANT SHRI AVDHESHANAND GIRI JI MAHARAJ

On 16.2 2011, Saint shri Avdheshananda giri ji Maharaj had a short visit to the temple and addressed a large gathering of devotees.

He stressed on the need to make prayers to the Lord daily. Prayer before God instantly relieves oneself from all the stresses of life. In the first place, a man should always remain engaged in his own duties. Then with dispassion he should bring steadfastness to the devotion of Lord. He should recognize the Lord as his father, mother, companion master, kinsman and Guru and should be free from all  the vices and hypocrisy. Lord is always at the back and call of those devotees who depend on him in thought  word and deed and worship Him without any motive.

He blessed all the devotees and wished for the peace,, prosperity and joy for them. (See photographs below)

SADGURU SANT RAM KRIPAL JI

On 19.2.2010, saint Ram Kripal ji  Maharaj was honoured by a large gathering of devotees at the temple.

The saint told that this human body one gets as a result of pious and noble acts done in previous life. This human body and mind, if filled with positive thoughts and actions , can achieve all the desired objects. We utilise only a fraction of powers hidden in the brain. We should practice to give up all negative thoughts or worries and move towards our goals with confidence over ourselves. We should always behave and act like a successful man- as we think, so we become.

Those who are friendly to all and beloved of all, to whom joys and sorrows , applause and abuse are alike, those , who  always utter truth and polite words and are filled with noble thoughts-to them destiny always favours.
